Manchester Artist's Book Fair

I returned to my old turf for the Manchester Artist's Book Fair which took place in the Holden Gallery at Manchester Metropolitan University recently. Thanks to Hot Bed Press for such a great job in organising it.

Wigtown Book Festival

It is always a delight to return to Dumfries & Galloway and visit the very friendly Wigtown Book Festival. This year we created Paper Pirate Ships complete with flag, plank and even a treasure map. Note for next year though - pirate costume needed for this workshop!

Edinburgh International Book Festival

It was a privilege to return to Edinburgh International Book Festival this summer to make Booky Sculptures with some very creative 7 - 10 year olds.

Spring Showcase at Craft House Concept

I will be making books with visitors at Craft House Concept's Spring Showcase on Saturday 19 March from 10 am to 7 pm. There will also be the opportunity to make lavender bags with Emma from Showpony Design, and sweet things from Cakes by Lyndsey. Steph will also be giving 20% off all stock on the day to celebrate.

The event is free but there will be a small charge for the workshops.

Following the success of Christmas Bookmarket, The Fruitmarket Gallery have decided to hold an event devoted completely to Artists' Books and books about art.

Four pieces of work will be on display this exciting gallery devoted to printmaking from 20 March to 08 May 2010

a wide range of imagery through traditional processes along with new digital media."

"Lucy Roscoe's artwork will be displayed at this year's Edinburgh Printmakers showcase, Reveal. The artist's sculptural work Little Women, inspired by Louisa May Alcott's classic book, will be amongthe work featured by 20 young artists from across Scotland. Every two years, Edinburgh Printmakers, on Union Street, selects the best recent graduates and them a platform to exhibit new work."
