News March 2011 Spring Showcase at Craft House Concept I will be making books with visitors at Craft House Concept's Spring Showcase on Saturday 19 March from 10 am to 7 pm. There will also be the opportunity to make lavender bags with Emma from Showpony Design, and sweet things from Cakes by Lyndsey. Steph will also be giving 20% off all stock on the day to celebrate. The event is free but there will be a small charge for the workshops.
Artists' Book Market Tuesday 29 March Following the success of Christmas Bookmarket, The Fruitmarket Gallery have decided to hold an event devoted completely to Artists' Books and books about art. Confirmed participants so far include Zeynep Arman, The Book Tree Press, Helen Douglas, Jane Hyslop, Julie Johnstone - Essence Press, Leonard McDermid and Gabriella Marcella.
Spring Workshops at The Book Tree Press As promised, I am happy to announce a series of Spring Workshops. This set of three intimate workshops will give you the chance to give bookbinding a try for the first time, or to learn some new skills if you have never made a book before. All abilities are welcome for each workshop, and to keep the workshops nice and cosy and give each of even more of my attention there are only 4 places for each workshop and book early! Don’t worry if they book up I will add more dates.
